What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert in network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, routing protocols, and switching.
• Manage and update firewall configurations and deploy new network security devices.
• Develop innovative network security solutions for routing and switching challenges.
• Document and manage changes to security processes.
• Resolve complex network security issues and provide escalation support.
• Monitor and respond to security events in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Requirements

• Must be located onsite in Palo Alto, CA, USA.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in network security engineering with focus on switching and routing.
• Proficiency with major cloud platforms and network security services.
• Experience with network analysis tools and scripting for automation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Network-specific certifications such as CCNP Security, CCIE Security, JNCIP-SEC, PCNSE.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices for network security.
• Experience building custom tools or AI-based network threat detection.
