Manager, Network Management (Healthcare)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; hybrid

Annual salary: USD 92,000–153,300, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Manage complex fee-for-service and value-based contracting and negotiations with physician groups, ancillary providers, and hospital systems.
• Lead market contracting strategy projects and manage direct reports when assigned.
• Build provider relationships and support network growth and value-based business opportunities.
• Partner with Claims, Medical Management, Credentialing, and other matrix teams to execute contracting initiatives.
• Develop network strategies, identify risk-based opportunities, and analyze alternative network initiatives.
• Prepare contract financial projections, improve medical cost and quality, maintain agreement accuracy, and resolve escalated provider issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of healthcare provider contracting and negotiation experience involving complex physician groups and ancillary providers.
• Experience in managed care, healthcare, or health insurance, including commercial contracting.
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide others.
• Strong provider relationship management, communication, negotiation, contract interpretation, problem-solving, decision-making, and financial analysis skills.
• Knowledge of hospital, managed care, provider business models, and complex reimbursement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; relevant industry experience may substitute.
• MBA or MHA.
