Software Quality Assurance Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Develop risk-based test strategies and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for websites, web applications, CMS platforms, APIs, and cloud services.
• Review requirements and designs, clarify acceptance criteria, identify risks, and improve product testability.
• Build and maintain automated UI and API tests with Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent tools, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate REST APIs, service integrations, database behavior, and data integrity using API tools, test frameworks, and SQL.
• Investigate failures using browser developer tools, network traces, logs, telemetry, and database queries; prepare defect analyses and release risk assessments.
• Perform cross-browser, responsive, visual regression, performance, load, and accessibility testing, including Core Web Vitals and WCAG validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of software quality engineering experience, including significant web application testing.
• Hands-on experience with automated UI and API testing using Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript and Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs with Postman or code-based frameworks and validating data with SQL.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, redirects, caching, CMS platforms, CI/CD, Git, and defect-tracking tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining quality risks and test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience owning quality for web products, website migrations, or CMS platforms through release.
• Experience testing SEO, structured data, analytics, tags, localized content, AI or LLM-powered features, and non-deterministic outputs.
• Experience with Lighthouse, WebPageTest, axe, visual regression tools, AWS, public cloud platforms, or microservices.
• Background in networking products, smart home technologies, connected device ecosystems, or e-commerce websites.
