Senior QA Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid position within the NYC or LA office; U.S. work authorization required

Base compensation: $130,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for web applications and APIs across a complex EHR platform.
• Build and maintain reliable test automation with Playwright.
• Perform API testing with tools such as Postman and validate backend services and data flows.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and clinical stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps, including for complex and non-deterministic workflows.
• Use AI tools for test generation, edge-case discovery, code writing, and documentation while critically reviewing the output.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Quality Assurance experience with a track record of identifying difficult defects and building durable test coverage.
• Strong testing instincts, customer empathy, critical thinking, and the ability to learn complex products quickly.
• Strong API testing skills, working knowledge of GraphQL, and comfort reading logs and investigating codebases.
• Experience with Playwright, test automation, and AI-powered testing or development tools.
• Strong communication skills across engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ruby or TypeScript.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines, testing and deployment practices, or release tooling.
• Experience testing AI/ML systems, NLP outputs, transcription accuracy, or other probabilistic models.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and PHI handling in software.
• Familiarity with Claude Code or other agentic coding tools.
