Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

hirify.global is building a modern school transportation platform to make school buses safer, smarter, and more efficient for students, families, schools, and communities.

What you will do

• Own quality for complex features across web, Android, and Flutter applications.
• Define risk-based test strategies and perform exploratory, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Investigate complex and intermittent production issues across frontend, mobile, backend, infrastructure, and third-party integrations.
• Design, build, and maintain E2E and integration automation using Playwright, Maestro, and Appium.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to identify risks during planning, technical design, implementation, release, and production monitoring.
• Improve QA processes, tooling, documentation, release validation, incident analysis, and quality metrics while supporting less-experienced QA engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, software engineering in test, or a strongly technical software quality role.
• Significant experience testing complex web and mobile applications with multiple interconnected services.
• Advanced exploratory testing, risk analysis, debugging, and production issue investigation skills.
• Strong programming skills and the ability to read and navigate production codebases, write automation, and build debugging utilities or scripts.
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, client-server architecture, data flows, STLC, defect tracking, and test management.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, privacy, data handling, access control, and common OWASP risks, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with mapping, GPS and location systems, real-time applications, transportation technology, or mapping SDKs.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, REST APIs, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Firebase, Redis, Datadog, Sentry, Google Cloud Platform, Proxyman, Postman, and CI/CD pipelines.
