Software Engineer (ServiceNow)

Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States; core hours are 0900–1500, with alternative schedules discussed case by case.

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and document ServiceNow applications following Agile methodology and industry best practices.
• Support ServiceNow reference architecture, application security, certification and accreditation requirements, and sponsor priorities.
• Develop and maintain code for software applications, databases, and cloud services.
• Integrate and configure Commercial Off-the-Shelf systems, including ServiceNow applications.
• Conduct unit, functional, and user testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, versioned system artifacts, workflows, security plans, and deployment checklists.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Demonstrated experience developing ServiceNow applications and working with compliance or performance management applications.
• Experience with Agile methodology, Jira, version control software such as GitHub or Subversion, and service management systems.
• Experience analyzing and documenting web-based applications, databases, web services, APIs, and interfaces.
• Experience managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support and generating reports from web-based databases.
• Experience creating SOPs, digital workflows, knowledge bases, architectural diagrams, security plans, and pre- and post-deployment checklists.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud, networking, and platform hosting technologies.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Tableau, and WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility compliance.
• Experience working with learning, language, compliance, and performance management applications.
• Experience collaborating with sponsor and partner IT organizations.
