Sales Engineering Manager (Data Security)

Location: Remote, based in Australia; office location listed as Barangaroo, NSW. Willingness to travel up to 75% is required.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the sales engineering team.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and R&D teams to qualify opportunities and create tailored technical solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Advise customers and stakeholders on technical questions throughout the sales cycle.
• Maintain solution architectures, technical proposals, case studies, and other technical documentation.
• Represent the solutions at industry events, conferences, and webinars while monitoring market and technology trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in sales engineering or a related technical role, including 3–5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience with cloud technologies, TDR, CASB, DLP, or data security.
• Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure roles, permissions, and APIs; familiarity with networking and databases.
• Fundamental understanding of ML/AI, data regulatory frameworks, privacy, and data retention programs.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and people-management skills; willingness to travel up to 75%.

Nice to have

• AWS or Azure cloud certifications, including solutions architecture and security certifications.
• CCSP certification.
