Network Automation Engineer (Python & DevOps)

Location: United States Work at Home

Annual salary: USD 123,500–205,800, depending on experience and geographic location. Annual bonus plan eligibility is anticipated.

What you will do

• Build Python-based network automation solutions with network engineering teams to reduce manual work and network incidents.
• Develop and support REST APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Create infrastructure-as-code solutions, Ansible Playbooks, configuration management, and technical documentation.
• Build, maintain, and improve end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and release support.
• Work with Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, network device outputs, JSON, CRUD operations, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Support AI initiatives in the network organization, including AI frameworks and prompt-based solutions, while working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of Python development experience and 3+ years of DevOps experience, including Python-based network automation.
• Experience with Django, Django REST Framework, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Ansible, Ansible Vault, and configuration management.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and automated testing tools such as pytest, Selenium, SoapUI, or Postman.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, CRUD operations, AI frameworks, prompt-based solutions, and modern web technologies.
• Networking knowledge, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
