Technical Lead (AI/Cloud)

Location: Hybrid work from the Fairfax, Virginia office and various government facilities, with occasional SCIF visits; travel within and outside the continental United States may be required.

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect, configure, and manage secure environments across DoD networks and IL 4/5 cloud environments.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineers delivering and sustaining cloud, network, infrastructure, and application solutions.
• Manage security compliance, remediation, patching, access controls, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring.
• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade Linux and Microsoft server operating systems, network hardware, and related software.
• Support application development, cloud migration, data engineering, and maintenance in classified and unclassified environments.
• Engage customers, government representatives, mission partners, senior management, and business development teams on technical strategy and solution delivery.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information indoctrination are required.
• Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher, such as Security+, is required, or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a comparable STEM discipline.
• At least 6 years of IT platform fundamentals experience and 5 years of relevant experience delivering and sustaining technical or cloud solutions while managing a supporting team.
• At least 5 years of experience with customer-facing cloud projects, preferably AWS, including cloud infrastructure, DevOps, automation, containers, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Linux and Microsoft server administration, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS services, Terraform or CloudFormation, scripting, networking, PKI, data engineering, and cloud security.

Nice to have

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and experience in SCIF, classified cloud, or on-premises environments.
• AWS certifications, including Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps, or Solutions Architect Professional.
• Knowledge of IP networking, STIGs, CI/CD, ITIL v4, Jira, Confluence, and network management software.
• Experience with interactive and automated generative AI or LLM platforms such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Claude.
