Developer Infrastructure Engineer (Python)

Location: San Francisco, with three days per week in the office

Base salary: $190,000–$400,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain tooling for local and cloud development environments.
• Improve the speed and reliability of CI and deployment pipelines.
• Develop reusable workflows for creating services and libraries.
• Improve SDK and library publishing tools and release processes.
• Build metrics, dashboards, and flaky test detection systems.
• Support engineers and AI coding agents with the context and access needed to work within hirify.global’s systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience building developer tools and infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience improving CI/CD systems and diagnosing performance or reliability problems.
• Experience leading complex technical projects from design through implementation and rollout.
• Production experience with Docker, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, cross-team collaboration, and technical documentation.
