Network DevOps Engineer (Python)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

• Build production-grade Python automation for network configuration, change management, and observability.
• Automate multi-vendor enterprise networks using modern network APIs, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD practices.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Apply code review and design review practices to maintain production quality.
• Mentor more junior engineers and promote software-engineering discipline in network operations.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; eligible candidates include U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates.
• New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• At least five years of network automation experience and six or more years of overall experience.
• Strong Python development skills, including object-oriented programming, testing, and packaging.
• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and BGP, with hands-on experience using Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, or Scrapli.

Nice to have

• Cisco DevNet or vendor automation certifications.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, and Juniper multi-vendor networks.
• Streaming telemetry, modern observability stacks, or open-source network automation contributions.
• Cloud networking automation experience alongside on-premises networking.
