Program Manager (Drones)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; onsite. Ability to travel up to 10%.

What you will do

• Manage new and ongoing drone programs from kickoff through delivery, ensuring compliance with client and government requirements.
• Define program scope, timelines, tasks, budgets, and resources, and adjust plans to maintain execution.
• Lead internal multidisciplinary teams and resolve issues across mechanics, electronics, software, and algorithms.
• Build customer relationships with government agencies and external clients.
• Prepare, negotiate, and execute contracts while maintaining federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
• Track risks, provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders, and improve program processes and tools.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience managing complex, multidisciplinary programs.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
• Proficiency with project management tools including JIRA and MS Project.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, resource-management, and deadline-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• Located in the Tampa area and able to work onsite; ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with government contracts or drone/UAS programs.
• Master’s degree or certifications such as PMP or DAWIA.
