Air Force Program Manager (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Hybrid/Remote in the United States; position based in Oregon with periodic travel to customer and supplier sites.

Salary: $130,800–$170,000 per year plus bonus.

What you will do

• Define, launch, and drive strategic and operational initiatives for Air Force and Space Force programs.
• Develop program schedules, work plans, business requirements, budgets, standards, and operating processes.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate stakeholders, and provide technical and management reports to customers.
• Manage change initiatives, documentation libraries, communication plans, training, risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions.
• Support follow-on business, proposal development, new business development, and customer and supplier engagements.
• Coordinate with departments to deliver contract outputs on time and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of project management or program-related experience.
• Prior engineering or operations experience with current project or program management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of project management, change management, risk management, contract management, financial management, and ITAR regulations.
• Proven leadership, negotiation, communication, presentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience translating business needs into technical solutions and leading teams across disciplines.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Experience with SmartSheet, SAP, Agile PLM, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
