Principal Program Manager (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own program execution for cargo-carrying ground robots with payloads ranging from 25 to 800 lb.
• Translate product priorities into sequenced, tracked programs with clear timelines, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Coordinate design, AI, mechanical, electrical, software, sensor fusion, localization, navigation, cloud, DevOps, operations, and quality teams.
• Drive release quality gates and ensure sufficient testing before products and features ship.
• Account for supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, production readiness, and hardware certification requirements.
• Provide clear program visibility to the Head of Product and CEO while resolving cross-team conflicts without direct authority.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a technical program manager or equivalent on complex products combining hardware, embedded or cloud software, and AI/ML.
• Experience driving execution across highly matrixed, multidisciplinary teams without direct authority.
• Experience owning release quality gates for physical products, especially products operating near people.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including clear reporting on status, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering with a Product Manager, Head of Product, or similar product owner while maintaining a clear execution boundary.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, or other physical-plus-software products.
• Ownership of two or more programs.
• Experience managing a hardware certification path.
• Advanced degree in a related technical field.
