Program Manager (Vespid)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite work required. Travel of approximately 20–30% to customer sites, test ranges, and manufacturing or integration facilities is expected.

Salary: $198,000–$330,000 base salary per year, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the autonomous Massed Modular Aircraft program from proposal through development, testing, production, and sustainment.
• Own program cost, schedule, technical performance, P&L, integrated master schedules, risks, opportunities, and technical baselines.
• Act as the primary interface with government, defense, and international customers, leading program reviews and technical interchange meetings.
• Coordinate integrated product teams across systems engineering, airframe, aerodynamics, propulsion, payloads, avionics, software, manufacturing, quality, test, and logistics.
• Oversee requirements decomposition, design reviews, integration, flight and environmental testing, production readiness, configuration management, and technical data packages.
• Manage FAR/DFARS contract performance, supply chain and subcontractor execution, export controls, security requirements, airworthiness, and range safety.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of program or project management experience in defense or aerospace, including direct aircraft program experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of EVMS, integrated master schedule development, and risk management.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS contract types, government customer program offices, and cross-functional integrated product teams.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% to customer sites, test ranges, and manufacturing or integration facilities.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA and PMP certification.
• Foreign Military Sales or international program execution experience.
• Experience with digital engineering and model-based acquisition.
• Previous experience as a Chief Engineer, Deputy Program Manager, or Integration Lead.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance.
