Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. The role requires regular movement around the office and corporate campus and includes up to 20% travel. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Design, build, automate, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure and modern cloud platforms.
• Deploy, operate, troubleshoot, and upgrade Kubernetes and Amazon EKS environments.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and manage infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and Terraform Cloud workflows.
• Build secure CI/CD pipelines and automate application and infrastructure deployments.
• Support Databricks environments, Lakehouse architectures, data workflows, and related platform infrastructure.
• Implement observability with Datadog, troubleshoot production systems, participate in incident response, and improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related technical role.
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience in enterprise environments, including EKS, Kubernetes, cloud networking, IAM, and security controls.
• Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience, with strong CI/CD, Docker, Git, and scripting experience using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
• Experience with Datadog or a comparable enterprise observability platform and troubleshooting distributed applications and production infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of VPCs, routing, DNS, security groups, load balancing, private connectivity, TLS, secrets management, encryption, and least-privilege access.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, or enterprise Lakehouse platforms.
• Terraform Cloud, GitHub Actions, Helm, FluxCD, Argo CD, or GitOps experience.
• AWS Glue, Kafka, Confluent, RDS/Aurora, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, API Gateway, or Kong.
• MLOps, ML platform engineering, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, AWS Secrets Manager, or KMS experience.
