Manager, Technical Accounting

Location: Remote within Canada; working during Pacific time zone is required, and the San Francisco Bay Area is highly preferred. Quarterly attendance at in-person team gatherings is expected.

Compensation: OTE including a 10% bonus; Canada-wide range: CAD 120,000–155,000.

What you will do

• Research and document technical accounting positions covering revenue, stock-based compensation, leases, debt, capitalized software, and significant non-recurring transactions.
• Own accounting policies and drive new accounting standard implementations through research, operationalization, and disclosure updates.
• Prepare journal entry support, quarterly stock-based compensation expense support, statements of equity and cash flows, and complex financial statement footnotes.
• Manage equity-related technical accounting from grant setup review in Equity Edge Online through disclosures.
• Assist with proxy disclosures and support audits with technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, auditors, and business teams on contracts, billing structures, and complex transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 6 years of experience.
• CPA certification required.
• Public accounting experience; Big Four experience is preferred.
• Expertise in US GAAP and complex technical accounting.
• Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, and execution skills with close attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Ability to work during Pacific time zone hours and be based in Canada.
