Senior Manager, Accounting

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid workplace with an expectation of coming into the office two days per week

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end international growth revenue and expense close cycle under US GAAP.
• Ensure accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations and worldwide reporting.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses covering commercial drivers, risks, opportunities, and spend trends.
• Own technical accounting for international revenue, expenses, partner agreements, and commercial arrangements.
• Simplify, standardize, and automate close processes through AI and other scaling technologies.
• Partner with procurement, finance operations, commercial stakeholders, and accounting teams while leading and developing accounting professionals.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in financial and operational accounting within a complex, multi-entity global business.
• Experience managing the complete financial close cycle, including revenue, expenses, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing accounting teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid Toronto-based role with office attendance two days per week.

• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and corporate financial reporting standards.
• Experience with continuous process improvement, automation, or financial system transformations.
• Experience coordinating accounting operations across international entities and time zones.
• Strong communication and analytical skills for translating financial data into commercial insights.
