Accounting Manager (FP&A)

Location: Remote in Mexico, including Ecatepec de Morelos, Mexico City, Monterrey, and Toluca; established remote opportunities are also available in Canada and the UK with current work authorization and permanent residence required.

What you will do

• Own the month-end close, including revenue recognition, accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, and the close calendar.
• Manage recurring, project-based, and variable revenue, including churn, service changes, mid-month starts, and prorations.
• Oversee accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll entries, billing accuracy, collections, and multi-country compliance.
• Maintain client and divisional P&Ls, allocate staff costs and COGS, and track gross margin and EBITDA performance.
• Support budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, pricing, capacity planning, and monthly performance presentations.
• Improve and automate reporting across revenue KPIs, profitability, utilization, churn, and expansion.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in accounting and/or FP&A.
• Hands-on ownership of month-end close under GAAP, including revenue recognition for service businesses.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets modeling skills, including SUMIFS, lookups, and driver-based models.
• Experience in professional services, agencies, or SaaS businesses where margins are driven by people and time.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Must permanently reside in an established hiring country and have current work authorization for that country.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP and time-tracking tools such as Harvest.
• Multi-entity or multi-currency accounting experience.
• Experience building client or project profitability reporting.
• Comfort using AI tools to accelerate analysis and reporting.
