Senior Manager, Accounting (AI/Automation)

Location: Remote, based in Mexico; occasional travel may be required for project or team meetings.

What you will do

• Lead strategic initiatives across the Controllership organization from ideation and planning through execution and go-live.
• Manage M&A integrations, global system implementations, and operational process improvements.
• Coordinate resources, scope, timelines, and budgets across Accounting, Tax, SEC Reporting, Billing, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other teams.
• Identify, validate, prioritize, and project-manage automation opportunities across accounting and operational processes.
• Support CFO-level automation initiatives through knowledge sharing, advocacy, and project execution.
• Lead organization-wide change management by communicating clearly, solving problems, and coordinating stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Accounting, preferably within global public companies with more than $1 billion in annual revenue.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and experience interpreting, documenting, and operationalizing complex accounting scenarios.
• Direct SOX experience, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional projects from initiation through closure.
• Demonstrated success automating accounting and operational processes using a broad range of automation tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and institutional documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle ERP or similar systems, including implementation and troubleshooting.
