Accounting Manager (Fintech)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia; hybrid schedule with onsite work three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The office is expected to transition from Paces Ferry to Atlantic Station, with timing to be determined.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP, including journal entry reviews, reconciliations, consolidation, foreign currency remeasurement, translation, and allocations.
• Manage, mentor, and develop Senior and Staff Accountants through onboarding, training, goal-setting, and ongoing coaching.
• Review flux and variance analyses, provide commentary for senior management, and contribute to Controller reporting decks.
• Support SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain SOX Section 404 controls and collaborate with Internal Audit and external auditors.
• Improve close, consolidation, and reporting workflows while advancing AI-powered accounting automation and the accounting technology roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA certification.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5+ years in a publicly traded, SEC-reporting environment.
• 3+ years of direct people management and 3+ years of SOX 404 compliance experience, including ICFR design and RCM ownership.
• Experience supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings, accelerated filing deadlines, and external auditor management.
• Experience with a large ERP such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle; Workday experience is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience handling material nonpublic information in a public-company environment.
