VP Operations (Defense Technology)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States. The role leads hirify.global's U.S. operational organization and requires U.S. Person status with the ability to work within applicable export-control and security requirements.

What you will do

• Lead U.S. supply chain, procurement, production, manufacturing, facilities, logistics, inventory, and delivery operations.
• Build a resilient domestic supplier base and establish sourcing, supplier qualification, forecasting, and material-planning processes.
• Scale manufacturing capacity from development or low-rate production into repeatable production while improving throughput, yield, cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Manage facilities, production space, equipment, tooling, capital investments, warehousing, inventory control, shipping, and customer delivery logistics.
• Build and lead operations teams across supply chain, manufacturing, facilities, and logistics.
• Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Quality, Business Development, and executive leadership on U.S. program execution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive operations, manufacturing, supply-chain, or program-execution experience in the technology industry.
• Significant leadership experience in the U.S. defense, aerospace, or defense technology industry.
• Experience leading manufacturing or supply-chain organizations supporting defense products or systems.
• Experience managing suppliers, procurement, production planning, inventory, logistics, facilities, budgets, forecasting, capacity planning, and costs.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and cross-functional management skills in rapidly changing environments.
• U.S. Person status and ability to meet applicable export-control and security requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with UAS, autonomous systems, robotics, loitering munitions, or related defense technologies.
• Experience scaling complex electromechanical systems and supporting U.S. Department of Defense programs.
• Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, DFARS, FAR, NDAA, ISO 9001, or AS9100 requirements.
• Experience with ERP/MRP implementation and manufacturing planning systems.
• Experience establishing or expanding a U.S.-based defense manufacturing operation.
