TL;DR
Production Coordinator (Spacecraft) (Aerospace Manufacturing): Coordinating spacecraft production execution, work orders, materials, and factory resources with an accent on manufacturing flow, shortage management, and schedule adherence. Focus on maintaining ERP/MES data, resolving material constraints, coordinating cross-functional handoffs, and driving throughput and cycle-time improvements.

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable ITAR and EAR regulations.

Compensation: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, with potential stock options, medical, vision, dental, and 401(k) benefits for full-time hires.

What you will do

  • Release and manage manufacturing work orders in ERP/MES systems and coordinate handoffs between work centers.
  • Track production progress, identify schedule risks, and escalate delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
  • Verify material availability, coordinate staging and kit readiness, and resolve shortages with Inventory, Planning, and Procurement.
  • Maintain accurate work order, location, status, item master, and planning data throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Coordinate hardware movement between departments and support recovery plans for delayed or at-risk builds.
  • Drive improvements focused on throughput, schedule adherence, cycle-time reduction, and lean manufacturing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production control, supply chain, operations, or planning.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, MES, and/or QMS systems.
  • Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain an applicable U.S. export license.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in aerospace, electronics, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming.
