Head of Infrastructure (AI)

Location: Remote, with offices in New York City and San Francisco; remote work is fully supported.

Salary: $275,000–$325,000 annually plus equity.

hirify.global is building an AI-native operating system for regulated finance, starting with mortgage servicing, and operates its own mortgage servicing business to develop its platform.

What you will do

• Define and communicate a multi-year infrastructure strategy across cloud infrastructure and developer infrastructure.
• Lead and grow an organization of engineering managers, senior technical leaders, and individual contributors.
• Own the roadmap and investment decisions for compute, storage, data platforms, developer experience, CI/CD, test infrastructure, and observability.
• Set company-wide standards for reliability, security, service ownership, incident management, developer productivity, and operational excellence.
• Partner with product, engineering, security, data, and operations leaders to align infrastructure priorities with business goals.
• Guide architecture and major technical decisions while supporting systems that handle more than 100 million background jobs per day.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years leading multiple teams, engineering managers, or a substantial infrastructure organization.
• Experience owning a broad infrastructure portfolio covering cloud platforms, compute, storage, databases, SRE, developer infrastructure, or related areas.
• Strong technical depth in distributed systems and experience operating critical production systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, container orchestration, data stores, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience setting strategy across production infrastructure and developer experience, with strong organizational judgment and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success hiring, developing, and retaining strong teams through rapid growth and change.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling compute and batch-processing systems for rapidly growing workloads.
• Experience building durable storage and data platforms with migrations, replication, backup, recovery, and performance optimization.
• Experience adopting AI-enabled developer tools with quality, security, and governance controls.
