Pharmacy Business Analyst III (Healthcare Analytics)

Location: Hybrid role with regular in-office attendance required at the Sacramento office.

What you will do

• Build predictive models, dashboards, proofs of concept, and actionable recommendations for pharmacy operations and financial decisions.
• Analyze pharmacy, medication-use, inventory, dispensing, administration, and controlled-substance data.
• Lead business and technical requirements gathering, workflow mapping, user acceptance testing, and application implementations or conversions.
• Develop compliance, medication safety, quality improvement, and operational reports for pharmacy leaders.
• Lead small-to-medium analytical projects and present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Support operational analytics training while maintaining healthcare data privacy and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, healthcare administration, statistics, economics, finance, computer science, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Six years of recent relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, pharmacy operations, or a related analytical role.
• Advanced SQL skills, including SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, and CTEs, with experience querying and reconciling complex healthcare data.
• Advanced experience with predictive modeling, statistical analysis, forecasting, dashboards, and data visualization using Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with Epic pharmacy workflows and reporting tools, including Willow, SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, or comparable systems.
• Ability to commute consistently to the Sacramento office for required in-person attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Epic Clarity, Pyxis, BlueSight ControlCheck, Compounding360, APIs, HL7 messages, or secure file transfers.
• Experience supporting medication errors, near misses, adverse drug events, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and corrective-action monitoring.
• Experience with advanced Excel, SaaS application support, vendor coordination, data-feed validation, and troubleshooting.
