Senior Financial System Analyst (Momentum Financials)

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia, or full-time remote within the United States

What you will do

• Support migration of legacy financial data to a web-based Momentum Financials system for federal financial, budget, and procurement management.
• Analyze legacy and feeder systems, data flows, general ledger posting logic, system limitations, and conversion requirements.
• Serve as the general ledger subject matter expert by performing tie-point, abnormal balance, reconciliation, and posting-logic analyses.
• Validate payroll and non-payroll accruals, journal vouchers, beginning balances, ending trial balances, and post-conversion financial reporting.
• Execute mock and go-live conversion testing, prepare validation and out-brief reports, and brief leadership and stakeholders on results.
• Track requirements, defects, configurations, and workload using Agile software while collaborating with SMEs, end users, and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent, with 12 years of industry experience, including at least 8 years directly related to the required expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Momentum Financials and Momentum implementation in a cloud-based environment.
• Knowledge of OMB Circular A-136, OMB bulletins and circulars, USSGL, GTAS, DATA Act, SF-133, and GAAP.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL with Oracle databases, MS Office, Agile methodologies, and version control systems such as GitHub.
• Experience supporting federal agencies or highly regulated environments, with strong communication, analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
