Retirement & Wealth - Business Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Home-based remote role associated with Oak Brook, Illinois, United States; typical schedule is 8 a.m. CT to 5 p.m. CT. Occasional travel for onsite department meetings and collaboration events, up to 10%; relocation is not provided.

Salary: $82,000–$107,000 per year, with possible incentive and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Design and implement workflow solutions that automate and optimize operational processes.
• Translate business, operational, and compliance needs into clear, testable requirements.
• Elaborate business rules, validations, data requirements, exception paths, and edge cases.
• Document current-state processes, identify pain points, and assess system, vendor, operational, and compliance impacts.
• Maintain process maps, rule catalogs, decision logs, Q&A logs, workflows, and source-of-truth documentation.
• Support discovery, design, validation, testing, implementation, training, and post-launch reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, product operations, or related roles; experience in fintech or a highly regulated industry is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder alignment, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced ability to create user stories, scenario-based acceptance criteria, requirements, process maps, and operational readiness plans.
• Deep understanding of product development lifecycles and Agile methodologies, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau, plus process modeling tools such as Visio or Miro.

Nice to have

• Experience with Appian or other workflow platforms.
• Agile or Product Management certifications.
