Functional Analyst - Financial Management System Consolidation Analyst & Roadmap (Financial Management)

What you will do

• Analyze current-state financial management systems, business processes, data flows, organizational structures, and technology environments.
• Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions.
• Evaluate accounting, budgeting, payroll, workforce management, reporting, internal controls, audit support, and compliance processes.
• Assess system architectures, integrations, interfaces, data dependencies, enterprise capabilities, and modernization opportunities.
• Develop current-state and future-state process models, capability assessments, consolidation strategies, and implementation roadmaps.
• Prepare executive briefings, decision-support materials, reports, and recommendations while collaborating with government, functional, program, and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in financial management, business transformation, systems analysis, or enterprise modernization.
• Ability to bridge business and technology perspectives and translate financial management requirements into system, process, data, and architecture solutions.
• Strong knowledge of financial management functions, including general ledger accounting, budget formulation and execution, financial reporting, payroll operations, workforce management, internal controls, audit support, and compliance.
• Experience with business process analysis, requirements gathering, capability assessments, stakeholder engagement, and executive presentations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with federal government clients, with strong organization, communication, facilitation, and relationship-management skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of federal financial management regulations, policies, and standards, including experience with DoD, defense agencies, or other federal organizations.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar enterprise financial systems.
• Experience with enterprise architecture, systems integration, data management, business process reengineering, operating model design, shared services, and organizational transformation.
• Certifications such as PMP, CBAP, Lean Six Sigma, CPA, or CGFM.
• Department of War experience.
