Quality Engineer II (AI/Playwright)

Location: Fully remote; travel required for offsites. A broadband internet connection is required.

Salary: $105K–$125K base salary, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Use AI tools such as Claude Code to generate, maintain, and refine automated tests.
• Build and maintain automated coverage for E2E user flows and REST APIs, contributing to the E2E automation framework.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to plan test cases and coverage for new features.
• Troubleshoot test failures, interpret logs and stack traces, reproduce bugs, and support root cause analysis.
• Develop deep knowledge of product workflows, business rules, and edge cases to anticipate defects.
• Champion testability, meaningful coverage, and quality standards throughout development.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and willingness to evaluate new testing technologies.
• Browser automation experience with Playwright or another modern test framework.
• Experience testing REST-based web applications across frontend and backend, including API testing tools such as Swagger UI.
• Working proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, plus knowledge of Git, source control workflows, and SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience; strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Prompt engineering workflows for test generation.
• Agentic coding workflows, MCP integrations, or custom tooling around LLMs.
• Familiarity with CI pipelines.
