QA Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid position within the New York City or Los Angeles office; U.S. work authorization required.

Base compensation: $100,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Write and execute manual and automated test plans for web applications and APIs.
• Contribute to the Playwright automation suite and decide which scenarios should be automated.
• Perform API testing with tools such as Postman to validate backend services and data flows.
• Test workflows from the perspective of clinicians and patients across a complex EHR platform.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to identify issues early and document defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Use Claude Code and other AI-assisted tools for test generation, edge-case discovery, automation, and documentation while critically reviewing their output.

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA experience testing web applications and APIs.
• Strong manual testing skills and judgment about when automation is appropriate.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or a similar framework such as Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
• Solid API testing skills and an understanding of frontend and backend interactions.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code or other agentic coding tools with critical evaluation of results.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with Ruby, TypeScript, or reading code to diagnose bugs.
• Healthcare or regulated-industry experience, including HIPAA and PHI handling.
