What you will do

  • Own and maintain automated tests for an engineering team, keeping suites healthy and resolving failures promptly.
  • Write end-to-end and integration tests in Playwright and migrate legacy web tests where appropriate.
  • Perform manual functional, regression, exploratory, and release testing alongside backend, frontend, and mobile engineers.
  • Identify edge cases, collaborate on defect resolution, and represent automation work in Jira and Scrum planning.
  • Track test coverage, flaky tests, and suite health through Grafana dashboards and monthly Automation Test Reviews.
  • Partner with the central Automation team on CI-integrated continuous testing and AI-assisted test maintenance tooling.

Requirements

  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests with Playwright or a comparable framework such as Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
  • Working proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Hands-on manual QA experience, including functional, regression, exploratory, or black-box testing.
  • Comfort with Git, GitHub, pull requests, code review, Jira, Confluence, and Scrum workflows.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, the Quality Guild, and the central Automation team.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Concourse, and automated test integrations.
  • Experience with TestRail or similar test-management and reporting tools.
  • Backend testing experience with Django/Python, Go, or Kotlin services.
  • Interest in AI-assisted testing, self-healing tests, or LLM-assisted test authoring.
  • Previous experience as a QA Analyst or SDET.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and AD&D coverage, plus a 401(k) with matching and immediate vesting.
  • Flexible PTO, comprehensive leave policies, and work-life balance support.
  • Weekly UberEats lunch stipend for in-office days and an annual parking stipend.
  • Udemy access, a personal learning budget, mentorship, Discovery Days, and leadership development programs.
  • Employee Resource Groups, allyship resources, wellness initiatives, and an inclusive workplace.
