Assistant/Associate Professor of Curriculum & Instruction

What you will do

• Teach, mentor, and advise undergraduate and graduate students in teacher preparation and curriculum and instruction programs.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Provide service to the department, College, University, community, and profession.
• Support school- and community-based field experiences.
• Contribute to curriculum alignment, mapping, development, program evaluation, and assessment.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or a related field; ABD candidates may be considered if the degree is completed before employment.
• At least three years of EC–12 teaching experience or equivalent.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in Curriculum and Instruction.
• Current teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
• Expertise in school- and community-based field experiences.
• Associate Professor candidates must meet rank and tenure requirements and demonstrate substantial publications, successful teaching, an active research agenda, and faculty leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with curriculum alignment, mapping, development, program evaluation, assessment, and online course development and teaching.
• A scholarly record or research potential in teacher preparation, curriculum, or pedagogy relevant to national, state, and local educational contexts.
