Traffic Project Manager (Transportation)

Location: Hybrid role based in Tampa, Tallahassee, Orlando, Jacksonville, or Panama City, Florida, United States

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead traffic engineering projects from pursuit through final design and construction support.
• Manage FDOT and local agency projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, resources, and quality objectives.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor engineers, design staff, and junior personnel.
• Develop and oversee preliminary and final engineering plan sets using MicroStation and related design tools.
• Coordinate roadway, drainage, structures, planning, and environmental disciplines for integrated project delivery.
• Build client relationships, support proposals and capture strategies, participate in business development, and help secure new transportation work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required.
• 8+ years of traffic engineering and transportation design experience.
• Experience managing FDOT and local agency transportation projects.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, multidisciplinary teams, client relationships, and business development activities.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and Microsoft Office; knowledge of FDOT criteria, standards, and delivery processes is preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Civil 3D.
• Established relationships with Florida transportation agencies, municipalities, counties, and FDOT districts.
• Experience leading proposal pursuits and capture strategies.
• Previous supervisory experience or participation in ITE, ASCE, or FES.
