Director, Public Affairs & Strategy (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel to Louisville, the Washington, DC metro area, Chicago, Nashville, and New York is expected.

Salary: $184,800–$254,100 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead complex cross-functional workstreams from scope definition and prioritization through implementation.
• Advise senior leaders by framing business and policy issues, surfacing tradeoffs, and developing recommendations.
• Connect healthcare policy developments to enterprise objectives and build coordinated strategies across stakeholders, messaging, risks, and execution.
• Lead research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, scenario planning, and execution tracking.
• Create executive-ready presentations, briefings, memos, and decision materials.
• Build alignment across functions, influence without formal authority, and manage external consulting partners.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree required; MBA or another relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, healthcare strategy, enterprise transformation, public affairs strategy, or a similarly rigorous environment.
• Deep knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry, preferably including payer and/or provider experience.
• Ability to independently structure ambiguous problems, lead complex cross-functional work, synthesize quantitative and qualitative findings, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex workstreams and ability to drive execution with limited direction.
• Exceptional project leadership, executive communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority.
• High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• MBA or another relevant advanced degree.
• Experience with healthcare payers and/or providers.
