Consulting Director (Healthcare)

Location: New York, 1166 Ave of Americas; remote home office permitted anywhere in the contiguous 48 states near a major airport, with weekly travel as needed by project.

Base salary: $215,000–$250,000 annually. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive: $311,750–$362,500.

What you will do

• Lead multi-workstream engagements focused on growth strategy, business model transformation, and innovation.
• Advise CEOs, boards, and other senior leaders on enterprise planning, partnerships, cultural transformation, and long-term growth.
• Structure complex problems and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research into actionable strategies.
• Prepare and present clear, high-quality deliverables, proposals, workshops, and executive presentations.
• Collaborate with Managing Directors on business development and revenue growth opportunities.
• Coach and develop junior team members while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Requirements

• Extensive consulting experience with a proven track record of delivering strategic solutions at a top management consulting firm within the healthcare industry.
• Experience leading enterprise-level strategic engagements for healthcare provider organizations, including long-term and near-term strategy, growth initiatives, enterprise transformation, market entry, service line strategy, M&A or partnerships, and margin or cost optimization.
• Expert-level knowledge of healthcare providers, including hospital systems, academic medical centers, ambulatory surgery centers, integrated delivery networks, and physician practices or groups.
• Strong conceptual, strategic, problem-solving, quantitative, business analysis, data, and analytics skills, with the ability to make high-quality decisions and take decisive action.
• Ability to manage complex projects, create clear work plans, lead junior employees, execute across multiple projects, and deliver high-quality client work.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to create high-impact presentations, proposals, and workshops and visualize complex information and insights.
• Ability to attract, evaluate, coach, and advance talented people, with a commitment to diversity and building a high-performing, mission-driven team.
