Systems Engineer 4 (Cybersecurity)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; onsite role

Salary: $99,000–$206,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the program's monthly reporting process.
• Coordinate with software development leads, the PMO, and government customers to gather status information and clarify reporting requirements.
• Translate contract requirements, SOW/PWS documents, and CDRLs into traceable reporting structures.
• Map work across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment to customer requirements.
• Align reporting with Scrum ceremonies, sprint outcomes, velocity, backlog progress, risks, and scope changes.
• Build and maintain Confluence templates, page hierarchies, macros, and reporting dashboards while managing contributor deadlines and internal review.

Requirements

• Active and transferable TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph required before start.
• U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of systems or requirements engineering experience in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of the full SDLC and working knowledge of Scrum, including sprints, ceremonies, backlogs, user stories, and Scrum roles.
• Hands-on experience with Jira or similar tools, Confluence templates and macros, customer requirements, requirements traceability, and technical status communication.

Nice to have

• Scrum certification such as CSM or PSM, or SAFe experience.
• Experience with Confluence/Jira integrations, dashboards, plugins, ScriptRunner, or embedded Jira reports.
• Experience with RTMs, DOORS, Jama, government MSRs, PMRs, or CDRL deliverables.
• Basic scripting or frontend development skills for lightweight reporting interfaces.
