Junior Associate Counsel, Commercial Transactions (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Bogota, Colombia, with full overlap with US Central business hours

What you will do

• Review and negotiate NDAs, order forms, statements of work, SaaS, services, data, and marketing agreements.
• Draft and revise merchant agreements, amendments, and onboarding terms.
• Identify and explain risks involving liability, indemnities, intellectual property, privacy, security, audits, termination, and service levels.
• Provide practical contract guidance to Sales, Partnerships, Procurement, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
• Use Claude-enabled contract workflows, critically review outputs, and improve legal playbooks and prompts.
• Manage contract intake, signature checks, renewals, obligations, templates, precedents, and compliance coordination.

Requirements

• Law degree and admission to practice in LATAM with a professional license or in a US jurisdiction.
• 1–2 years of commercial, corporate, or transactional experience, including internships, prácticas, or judicatura.
• Full professional fluency in written and spoken English and native or fluent Spanish.
• Hands-on experience drafting or reviewing commercial contracts in English, primarily under US law.
• Demonstrated experience using Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Availability for full overlap with US Central business hours.

Nice to have

• Coursework or an LL.M. in US law.
• Interest or experience in fintech, payments, banking, or e-commerce.
• Exposure to data privacy terms, SaaS procurement, or contract lifecycle tools.
