Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Boston office in Central Square, Cambridge; hybrid attendance three days per week

Salary: $150,000–$225,000 annual base salary plus equity options

hirify.global is building a consumer healthcare store that provides transparent cash and insurance prices for virtual and in-person care, prescriptions, labs, imaging, and other services.

What you will do

• Build and scale major surfaces of a Next.js healthcare application, including search, scheduling, provider profiles, and checkout.
• Create fast, accessible, production-grade web experiences with a strong focus on UI quality and patient experience.
• Make frontend architecture decisions involving component patterns, state management, data fetching, caching, performance, and testing.
• Work closely with design, operations, and clinical stakeholders to refine interactions and product details.
• Trace bugs and deliver features end-to-end across the frontend and Rails backend.
• Write product requirements, SQL queries, and QA checks when needed to deliver reliable product improvements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production web applications with React.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React patterns, including server components, hooks, and data fetching.
• Experience with Next.js or a similar framework, including routing, SSR/SSG, API routes, and caching.
• Experience with frontend performance optimization, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, RESTful APIs, and backend data models.
• Strong attention to UI quality and comfort working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to work from the Boston office in a hybrid arrangement three days per week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Healthcare industry experience, including EHR integrations or revenue cycle management.
