Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS/Azure)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; on-site role supporting GovCloud and classified cloud environments. U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are required.

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 per year, depending on experience, location, and other factors.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure, resilient, high-performance networks across AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure Government, and other cloud environments.
• Configure and optimize AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, and Security Groups.
• Configure and optimize Azure networking services including VNets, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Azure Route Server, and Load Balancer.
• Build hub-and-spoke, Virtual WAN, landing zone, hybrid, and multi-cloud architectures connecting cloud, on-premises, and mission partner networks.
• Harden cloud environments against DoD requirements, including RMF, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust Architecture, and least-privilege principles.
• Automate provisioning and lifecycle management, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and maintain architecture documentation, routing diagrams, security policies, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud networking.
• Experience designing hybrid architectures that integrate cloud environments with on-premises networks.
• Knowledge of VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPNs, ExpressRoute, VNets, TCP/IP, BGP, IPsec, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Experience with DoD cloud security policies, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Experience with Cloud WAN, edge security, classified cloud environments such as C2S, SC2S, or JWICS, and cloud-native security tools.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Networking and identity-centric access models.
