Cloud Solutions Architect

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$190,000 annually

What you will do

• Design end-to-end cloud-native architectures spanning compute, networking, storage, identity, data, security, and observability.
• Lead architecture reviews, approval processes, and technical decision-making for major cloud initiatives.
• Define landing zones, account structures, tagging strategies, reference architectures, blueprints, and reusable engineering patterns.
• Architect secure networking topologies, including VPC/VNet designs, transit hubs, hybrid connectivity, and private endpoints.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, re-platforming, capacity planning, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Produce architecture artifacts, advise stakeholders and cloud providers, and mentor engineering teams during solution delivery.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Deep expertise designing cloud-native solutions on at least one major cloud platform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, identity, security, containerization, serverless, and managed data services.
• Experience with cloud migration, modernization, platform consolidation, architecture reviews, and formal architecture documentation.
• Cloud architecture certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Multiple cloud architecture certifications.
• Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architecture experience.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Experience in regulated industries and cloud compliance.
• Experience driving FinOps and cost transparency initiatives.
