Senior Cloud Architect

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Design cloud architectures and migration plans for applications, data, and infrastructure moving from on-premises environments to the cloud.
• Assess systems, dependencies, compatibility, data sensitivity, and migration risks while coordinating re-platforming, refactoring, data transfer, and testing.
• Develop integration architectures, data pipelines, messaging, APIs, and ETL workflows connecting cloud and on-premises systems.
• Design scalable, redundant, fault-tolerant, and highly available architectures using cloud-native services, auto-scaling, serverless computing, and distributed databases.
• Implement monitoring and observability, analyze performance and utilization data, and optimize cloud resources, configurations, capacity, and costs.
• Document architectural decisions, contribute to governance, participate in agile ceremonies, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active Top-Secret clearance
• 10+ years of experience with cloud systems and architecture, including large-scale system design and management.
• 5+ years of experience delivering scalable solutions through GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining AWS CloudFormation templates.
• Experience developing and maintaining cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification and experience collaborating on cloud spending and budget management.

Nice to have

• Experience with federal national security, defense, or law enforcement organizations.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management.
• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework and Kanban.
• Strong communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
