HR Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Provide employee relations support, respond to employee inquiries, and assist managers with HR policies and workforce questions.
• Coordinate recruiting activities, including requisitions, candidate scheduling, interviews, pre-employment processes, onboarding, and orientation.
• Process hires, transfers, promotions, pay changes, and terminations in HRIS systems, including Workday.
• Maintain confidential personnel files, employee records, HR correspondence, and employment documentation.
• Support leave administration, accommodations, return-to-work processes, benefits administration, open enrollment, and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate employee communications, recognition programs, events, wellness activities, training records, and engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2–3 or more years of human resources experience.
• Experience handling confidential employee information.
• Strong administrative, organizational, customer service, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, including Workday experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience supporting HR functions in a manufacturing environment.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or another HR certification.
