Building Services Intern (Electrical and/or Mechanical)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; site visits and hands-on support for delivery teams are required.

What you will do

• Support the Building Services design team on electrical transmission projects in the UK and beyond.
• Contribute to live projects and tenders across design and execution stages.
• Help define and resolve engineering designs for building services.
• Coordinate tasks with project and site teams and act on site-team requirements.
• Provide practical, hands-on support during project delivery and site activities.

Requirements

• Currently studying Building Electrical Services, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Available to complete a 12-month year-in-industry placement as part of the degree.
• Understanding of drawing and modelling principles using 2D or 3D software.
• Three A Levels or equivalent, preferably including Mathematics and Science.
• Interest in building services, renewable energy project delivery, and working in an agile team.
• Proactive approach and willingness to visit sites and provide hands-on support.

Nice to have

• Relevant industrial experience, such as a summer placement or previous internship.
