CAD Technician (HV Electrical Cabling)

A growing business offering a full-time role supporting high-voltage electrical cabling infrastructure projects.

What you will do

• Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings for HV cable routing, joint bays, trench cross-sections, and associated infrastructure.
• Interpret engineering sketches and specifications to create accurate technical drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback.
• Maintain drawing registers and follow document control procedures.
• Prepare design packages for client submission and support multiple projects to meet delivery deadlines.
• Contribute to drawing templates, CAD libraries, design reviews, HAZID meetings, and design coordination.

Requirements

• Experience producing technical CAD drawings and models for engineering infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work with 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches and technical specifications accurately.
• Ability to ensure drawings meet relevant industry standards and client specifications.
• Willingness to collaborate with engineers and project managers across multiple projects.
