Salary: United Kingdom £98,000–£133,000; Spain €80,500–€109,000; UAE AED 459,000–AED 621,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and lead the global public affairs strategy in line with business priorities and market-expansion plans.
• Build the public affairs function, including processes, external advisors, lobbying partnerships, and future team development.
• Engage with government ministries, telecom regulators, consumer protection bodies, and other public stakeholders across priority markets.
• Represent hirify.global in regulatory consultations, public hearings, parliamentary inquiries, trade bodies, conferences, and industry forums.
• Monitor regulatory developments across APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and North America and develop policy positions on eSIM licensing, data privacy, consumer protection, digital markets, and cross-border telecoms.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Communications, Commercial, Internal Communications, and PR teams on regulatory enforcement, market entry, and external positioning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, policy, or regulatory affairs.
• Experience in-house at a technology or telecoms company, or in a public affairs consultancy serving these sectors.
• Demonstrated success influencing regulatory outcomes and managing multi-jurisdictional government relations programs.
• Deep understanding of telecoms, digital economy, or platform regulation.
• Ability to operate autonomously as a first hire and build structure and processes without an existing team.
• Strong English communication skills are required for meetings and asynchronous work.
