Network Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in Cranberry, PA, with the role based in Pittsburgh, PA; remote work is not available.

What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain firewall appliances, servers, operating systems, switches, routers, VPNs, and other lab infrastructure.
• Support product development, quality assurance, testing, and daily engineering operations across labs and data centers.
• Maintain high lab uptime, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage backups, configuration restores, patching, hardware refreshes, decommissioning, inventory, and technical documentation.
• Improve lab infrastructure using DevOps and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Track work in JIRA and plan activities using Scrum practices.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least two years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with servers, operating systems, security appliances, data center environments, network protocols, routing, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and monitoring tools.
• Experience administering firewalls and VPN technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot Linux systems and networks from the command line.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, Proxmox, or KVM virtualization environments.
• Basic knowledge of MySQL administration, Shell scripting, and Python scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Must be available to work on-site and have legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting DHCP and DNS servers.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience in software or hardware quality assurance or a similar testing environment.
