Network Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $99,000–$206,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and expertise.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize lab network infrastructure supporting cyber incident response.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, IP addressing, and network devices.
• Integrate new technologies and equipment while developing standard operating procedures and technical policies.
• Assess network topologies and device configurations, identify vulnerabilities, and apply security best practices.
• Support Citrix and VMware virtual desktop environments, Linux/Unix, macOS, and iOS platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex network and enterprise storage issues, including replication, backup, performance, and service restoration.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required; TS/SCI is preferred.
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability is required.
• At least 8 years of directly relevant network administration experience, or a high school diploma with 8+ years of relevant network, systems, or engineering experience.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, network administration, and virtual desktop environments.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix and macOS and ability to collaborate across physical locations.

Nice to have

• Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches, Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation.
• FlexPod, NetApp storage, network design, implementation, performance tuning, and infrastructure hardening experience.
• Technical documentation, SOP development, network diagramming, project management, and time-management skills.
• DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II, Network+, or CCNA certification.
