Director, Health and Nutrition (ACVN)

What you will do

• Lead health and nutrition initiatives across Product, Data, RD&E, Marketing, Growth, and Veterinary, including health screenings, personalized recommendations, and emerging health technologies.
• Manage and develop the veterinary team through clinical guidance, coaching, and capacity building.
• Own the clinical and scientific quality of Health Check-Ins, including expert review, case management, clinical validation, optimization, and scalable capacity planning.
• Provide veterinary nutrition expertise for recipe formulation, nutrient optimization, product innovation, and science- and veterinary-led product opportunities.
• Design and advise on clinical research, studies, scientific publications, white papers, presentations, and academic or clinical partnerships.
• Support evidence-based claims, veterinary education, consumer communications, applicable standards, and health and nutrition strategy.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree and Board Certification in Veterinary Nutrition (ACVN).
• Deep expertise in canine nutrition, nutrient requirements, and diet formulation.
• Meaningful experience applying veterinary or scientific expertise in clinical practice, research, industry, or a combination of these.
• Experience with research design, clinical studies, scientific publication, or evidence evaluation.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for professional and consumer audiences.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions without direct ownership.
• Ability to balance scientific rigor with practical business considerations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple strategic and tactical priorities.
• Comfort working in a technology-led organization with evolving priorities and opportunities to build and improve.
