Senior Insurance Business Analyst

Location: Remote, with residence and full-time work required in one of 41 listed U.S. states. hirify.global also has offices in Chicago, Illinois and St. Petersburg, Florida.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the requirements lifecycle for insurance products, state launches, filings, forms, endorsements, coverage changes, rating updates, and compliance requirements.
• Translate insurance decisions into business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, decision tables, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Tech Product, and Engineering to resolve ambiguity and maintain delivery alignment.
• Document current and future-state workflows, system behavior, dependencies, edge cases, and downstream impacts across rating, policy administration, billing, claims, servicing, and reporting.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, business review, product review, beta validation, and launch-readiness activities.
• Improve requirements templates, checklists, documentation standards, and repeatable delivery processes as hirify.global expands into new states and products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or in a similar role, including 3+ years in P&C insurance.
• Experience translating coverages, forms, endorsements, rating structures, eligibility rules, and state variations into structured requirements.
• Worhirify.globalg knowledge of insurance product lifecycles and configuration in policy administration and related systems.
• Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, decision tables, data mappings, and current- and future-state documentation.
• Experience worhirify.globalg with Engineering or IT in an Agile or iterative delivery environment, including requirements clarification, UAT, and implementation validation.
• Must be able to live and work full-time in one of the 41 listed U.S. states.

Nice to have

• Experience at a direct-to-consumer insurer, insurtech, or managing general agent.
• Knowledge of policy administration systems and production configuration of rating, forms, rules, and eligibility.
• CPCU, AINS, or similar industry designation or coursework.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
