Full Stack Engineer (TypeScript/AWS)

Location: Hybrid working from offices in Leicestershire or London, UK; fully remote working is not available.

What you will do

• Build and ship TypeScript backend services and APIs.
• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot AWS serverless infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Develop full-stack features with React and Next.js where required.
• Use Claude Code and Cursor responsibly, reviewing AI-generated code and explaining technical decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data in an agile squad to deliver features that improve personalisation, engagement, and member experience.
• Monitor production systems, resolve issues, improve engineering practices, and share AI learnings across the engineering community.

Requirements

• Production experience delivering full-stack applications, with strong TypeScript backend and API experience and working knowledge of React.
• Hands-on AWS experience, including serverless and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or SST.
• Experience across technical discovery, solution design, testing, release, and operational support.
• Strong engineering standards covering clean architecture, automated testing, observability, and performance optimisation.
• Practical experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor, with the judgement to assess and challenge their output.
• Experience working cross-functionally, communicating engineering considerations, mentoring, pairing, or leading technical discussions.
